Steve Poland, Chief Giraffe
Steve is a serial web entrepreneur with a love affair for all things web and start-up. Formerly a writer for TechCrunch, his 12-year background on the web consists of starting several start-ups and working in every role (PM, Sales, BizDev, etc) at several web development firms, where he was apart of the dev/launch of hundreds of websites/apps. Steve resides in Buffalo, NY and is a fanatical Boilermaker. In his spare time, he can be found at a concert, drinking a microbrew, or putting on an annual New Year’s Eve party.
Mason Browne, Grunt Giraffe
Mason is a culturally-confused Norse-Filipino with a soft spot for code and distributed systems. Ruby and Erlang are his current love affairs, though he’s been seen fooling around with Java, PHP, C, C#, and Objective-C when he thinks no one is looking. After hopping from Montana to California to Idaho to Wisconsin, he finally gave up, threw a dart on a map, and ended up in Washington. When he’s not busy not-blogging, you can likely find him at Barnes & Noble, which makes up 95% of his monthly expenses.
